Happy Place

I was reading this morning in Galatians and came across this verse.  “Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God.  If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.” A couple things stuck out to me on this.  When Paul uses the word obviously…I think it shows that he is flamboyantly following God now.  Not just following Him when it is convenient.  I have heard a quote for years, “If you are making everybody happy then you probably are not making God happy.” I think Paul paints that picture when he says, “If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.” The reality is your not going to make everyone happy no matter who you are or how hard you try…trust me on this one. The key is to do everything you can to passionately love Jesus and serve others to the best of your ability.  I think the love and self-esteem for yourself will come with time and you will be happy with who you are in Christ.

Question:  Who are you aiming to please?
