All great comments from you guys. The best part is each of us brings a different perspective on this and yet God is weaving each of our stories to attain our own level of “contentness” that He sees fit to grant us. Thanks for reading and thanks for adding value to the conversation. It is much appreciated.
Jon is smart but don’t feed his ego I think this is one of those questions that there is no right answer and it may be different for each situation and for each position. Love the feedback. This is such a crucial question for all leaders. Even though I asked what is the most important, or if you could only have one, I wonder if all three are needed for success?
Awesome guys! I think I agree with you both. Chemistry is huge. I think you can teach the competency if they are willing to learn, which goes back to chemistry and I think that someone who has the chemistry with you and your team most likely will have the character that you connect with. Good stuff and good answers guy.
Thanks Pete. You were part of the inspiration for that blog as I see you and others take a stand on something that we can all fall guilty of but need to speak truth to. Keep pushing ahead with what your doing in Tennessee…love hearing the stories of life change and seeing how God is using you. It’s an inspiration to us younger leaders.
THat is a tremendous amount of snow. I know of guys who got kicked out of college because they used the trays for food as sleds. Love the snow…so many memories.
Thanks Greg. You can tell that God has His hand all over Mark and to be where he is strategically located is no mistake either. He’s helping many redefine church and their lives.
A guy named Greg Davis did my design…www.gregdavispsu.com He’s a genius and doesn’t even realize it. Thanks for all the comments on this blog it was truly a life changing trip.
Yes I have learned that real trees have spiders and creepy bugs in them and I don’t like those so therefore don’t like real trees inside my house…I’m just going green but not cutting down people’s oxygen supply.
I have looked everywhere and don’t know who it would be. The only Australian that I am aware of is Brian Houston from Hillsong, but I don’t think he was on the list. Sorry. I know they are planning on re posting everything soon.
You obviously have a lot of time on your hands and know how to find a lot of verses in the Bible. But you also appear to only be looking for a fight. If your not into leadership that’s fine but it doesn’t negate the point that these men are leaders, they are leaders of their congregations under the leadership of God. Thanks for the input.
That’s a good thought Dan and I am grateful for redo’s every morning, every afternoon and every evening. I’m really messed up and use a lot of them. I love how you get the vision and are on board to make a difference and help people experience a new life. Proud of you bro!
Pat that is really good. It’s so true that the unchurched is the “only” true measure of church growth and the way the church should grow. Having a heart for those others don’t will separate your church from the rest of the churches. There is nothing like seeing someone who comes in searching finally get it and apply it.

Non-Negotiable
January 22nd, 2010 at 9:43 pmThere is an interesting difference in view between those in the secular workplace vs. those who are in the local church.
