Great thoughts Rachel. We would connect because I never have the answers, I usually only have more questions. That is a great answer your dad gave and I’m glad to see that those of us who give a similar answer may actually still be helping others instead of leaving them without hope.
Nadine that is really good. Great verses that I have to repeat almost on a daily basis. Anger is tough, where is that line that it is justified like Jesus in the temple?
Betty that will always be a battle for most of us. The key is figuring out how to protect it. Figure that out and you can add write a book that will make you rich to your to-do list.
Greg keep pushing that. Leadership is important but great leadership is crucial. I checked out your site and what you guys are doing…keep it up. It will make a difference.
Greg totally agree. How can we possibly expect them to come worship with us on a one hour block on Sunday if we don’t do life together with them some other time during the week. It makes us look consumeristic while appearing to not really care about their life. I have a lot to work on in this concept.
That is great and insightful. That is true that character comes out during the difficult times. Sometimes we forget about those people. Love the quote…I’m going to have to steal that for a tweet one day. Thanks so much for reading and commenting.
Thanks so much guys for your support I really do appreciate it. If I’ve sharpened you half as much as you have sharpened me than this has been a good relationship.
I would have guessed that most of those things were things you enjoyed. Although I don’t like crickets, toads, frogs or birds. I don’t think I like gardening because I don’t like dirt. I do like loud music however. Fun times. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah but that process has stopped quickly as I am reading Visioneering by Andy Stanley and it is pretty much kicking my butt. I’m in chapter 6 and it is already one of the top 5 books I have read.
I’m not blocking you Betty…not yet. Those are good. I fear falling from heights as well. That’s interesting that you do not fear finding God’s true purpose and will for your life because that is what most people struggle with. Good thoughts…thanks for the input.
I like a lot of those bands, Madonna and Beastie Boys especially bled over into my generation. Great choices and I can see you singing with those bands in your office.
Michele I appreciate your candidness and to be honest I think this is something that everyone struggles with but may not articulate like you did. I do understand when you say that it may appear as weakness but it’s in our weakness that Christ is strong. It is difficult and I have no clue your situation but this will continue to haunt you and keep you from reaching God greatness if you hold onto it. Baby steps. Nobody likes to hear that especially me but the truth is not forgiving hurts you more than anybody. Thanks for your willingness to share this and I will pray for you today that God will help you to break out of that mold that holds you back.
Bev thanks for comment. I feel my resentment is justified as well. Seriously hard to live this stuff out. Ironically after I posted yesterday, I now have to deal with my problem as they did not respond the way I felt they should after all these years. Thanks God for this little life lesson…I need to be careful what I post. Keep sharing it’s encouraging to everyone who reads.
I am sure there are many people who enjoyed that book. I would assume they are also LOST fans. For those on the fringe or on the outside it may not connect. I did enjoy his other angle of writing.
That’s great Betty…good insight. Stubbornness, pride and independence are something I think that trip everybody up from time to time. It’s been a while since I have had a kitten reference.
Chuck that is great and I really appreciate your vulnerability. Especially doing it publicly. Go to Him is such a huge statement and possibly most peoples weakest process. We always want to fix it ourselves and then we go deeper and if we only turn to him it would pull us out of the funk. It’s grabbing the stick that is God while were in the midst of quicksand struggling and going deeper.
“Faith your way through it” is great. I think that sometimes we have to stop and realize that it is not always about us. But that is really hard when your in the midst of it. Thanks Nate, Elijah is a great example, good reminder.
That's A Great Question...

May 5th, 2010 at 1:53 pmDrive thru Starbucks are awesome…do they really have a drive thru foot doctor? That would be crazy.

Be Silent Be Still
March 12th, 2010 at 10:08 amThat’s really good Jeff. I think we all feel that way that God will slow us down if we don’t slow down. The key is simply finding a few minutes a day.

What Do You Look Like
February 12th, 2010 at 5:13 pmI’m going to be posting on angry “christians” next week. I think this is a very difficult topic because none of us really look like Christ.
