25 Days Of Christmas_Day 20

I love the clip from the Elf where Buddy starts shouting Santa, I know him.  Made me think with church be canceled today there is a lot of anticipation for Wednesday and Thursday as Eric takes the reign as lead pastor of Fellowship Church.  Can’t help but think when I hear that clip, that instead of Santa, I know him, it’s Eric is coming, I know him.  Looking forward to Christmas as I hope you are.  Who have you invited who needs to hear about Jesus?

 

25 Days Of Christmas_Day 8

Even though he apparently is evil and if you rearrange the letters of his name they spell Satan, I have a love for Santa Clause.  There is something magical and fun about the concept of Santa.  I found out the hard way as a child and we will leave that alone because we don’t know who may read this blog.  I’m sure my market share of 4-8 year olds is as anticipated very large.  The concept of Santa and the North pole, elves and reindeer just seems to add an element of fun.  Yes I know there is a degree of lying to children around the world about the concept, but in my mind I can totally justify that or at the very least buy them off with a gift to end the pain of covering up the truth.  So many great Christmas movies that involve Santa, and even more great one-liners like from the movie Elf.  Found a link to a very funny site called Sketchy Santas. A funny site on the joys of meeting Santa and the “awkwardness” that comes from that.
